D800 Third fix result: replacement...

Last week I spoke to Nikon UK and made it fairly clear that after two failed fixes on the D800 I wanted a replacement. Either a new one or a refurb with similar shutter count.

I sent it in immediately (they sent a courier) and last night got a shipping notification that my original, not a replacement, was on its way back. I gritted my teeth, snarled a bit, you know the drill...

Today I was out til late but the delivery arrived and when I got back I opened it up to find - a replacement. S/N 6030### which is clearly a refurb and which had 587 frames on the clock, less than the one I returned.

Out of the box, line up a well-lit bookshelf, shoot a few frames.

Left off.

Will test properly tomorrow when I've had time to run AF fine tune and set up a bench.
