Nikon D300S- output photos directly to PC rather than memory card?

For indoor still life, it would be convenient to output shots directly to a PC (rather than the memory card) to discern details that cannot be readily seen on the camera's LCD. I imagine a wire must connect the camera and PC, and the viewing software would be Nikon's ViewNX. Does anyone know how to do this?
