This lens is a very good protrait lens, very nice bokeh and very good quality (sharp) pictures.

It is in no way a macro lens but you can do this with it;

And you can use this lens in low(er) light situations and when you want control over DOF.
Landscape is not the strong point of this lens, but it is very well posible
