Why doesn't dpreview allow editing posts for a few weeks or months like other forums do? The theory that it will compromise replies to posts doesn't hold water since other forums allow editing posts for weeks or months and they don't have problems.

I think posters are honorable enough for dpreview to start allowing folks to edit their posts for at least a couple of weeks.

Im with you. Every single other forum Ive frequented in the past 12 years allows unlimited edits. I honestly believe that this site is just incredibly antiquated and the owners/mods/developers are just "stuck" in their ways. The flat view/thread view is another example. When I get the thread view I feel like its 1996, and reading it in flat view is confusing because the thread view allows replies to certain posts. Just make a "REPLY" button and if people want to quote someone, great.

Just a few ticks you have to deal with on this site.
