Ok, thanks. And yes it's an awesome zoom for videos as well

Mine has the built-in motor, and it auto focuses in LV.
Oh, and that reminds me, no other normal-zoom has such a perfectly suited focus-ring for filming.
It's silent, light and mounted all out at the end of the lens where it's easy to get to.

Hey great shots!
Just out of curiosity is your tamron the version with or without built-in-motor? Does the autofocus work in LV mode?
I ask because I have the same combo and my Tamron's AF never worked with LV (not even on my previous Nikon, so it's definetly not a body problem). Too bad warranty was already expired when I bought it (used, but at a very good price). The issue (which seems shared by some old sigma/tamron lenses combined with new bodies) never really bothered me (the only time I used live view was for videos and I used MF anyways in that case), but now it would be good to test it at 28mm and check my Body for AF issues (which, at a first glance, it doesn't seem to have).
