Hello

From what I have seen of the results of my 7D, I conclude that it is a really good 9mp camera, that is if it is downsized by 50% than it matches my 5D2. I bought the camera for the notional extra reach due to the pixel density. In effect all this is good for is 'oversampling'. By the way my camera has been back to Canon twice and they assure me that 'it is what it is'

As for expose to the right, it is not much use to anyone who uses only JPEG and never RAW and there are many people who do just that. They want to see a properly exposed image that at least matches the scene that they are photographing. It also invites 'clipping' and again the 7D cannot deally with even 1/2 stop of clipping. I am sure that it was an experimental camera, that just managed to get out into the wild.
