Crazy FoCal readings on d3s @ number of different lenses...

Hi Ian,

I have no idea who and why came up with the 50 multiple, I think it was recommended by Canon from what I remember reading... Either way I ensured that the object was far enough for the camera to be able to focus, and for the 50/24-70/85 lenses I used distance at which I would normally shoot.

Sure if I move the distance to 10m or so and maybe set the f-stop to f9 the images will be sharp - that however defeats the purpose... This would defeat the point of buying fast and expensive lenses...
