When is a sunflower not a sunflower?

When it is an oxeye sunflower or false sunflower. Sunflower is the common name for the Helianthus genus. A oxeye sunflower is from the Heliopsis genus. Some species of Heliopsis look more like sunflowers than others.

I left a comment for the host asking specifically if oxeye sunflowers are allowed in the sunflower challenge, but he did not respond. I have photos of oxeye sunflowers that I think are better than my sunflower photos, but did not enter one in the challenge, because they are not sunflowers. I guess it will be up to the voters to decide how they will vote for the photos in the challenge that are not sunflowers. I won't be voting because I am not yet comfortable voting in a challenge I have entered.
