Sigma DP2M vs DP1X flare comparison

The DP2M is prone to some flare as shown by Tulaev in this message:

In order to assess the problem I compared the DP1X and the DP2M in two shots:

The DP2M exhibits a bit more flare than the DP1X, but in my opinion it is less than what the original DP1 had. So this is not good, but not as bad as feared.

Of course you can make the DP2M look really bad if you take a photo of the sun between large dark areas, and expose for the dark parts:
