The EM-5 implementation of firmware updates is the worst I have seen so far. The update process gives the user no continuous progress feedback, so that he does not know what to do. Additionally, the update process takes way too much time. When updating to firmware 1.1.1 I was really scared because nothing happened for about 15 minutes. I was very relieved, when I finally saw the OK message, and the camera switch on normally.

The Olympus firmware update process is so error prone, that users can't be blamed when they do something wrong. Updating Panasonic firmware is a completely different experience, because the screen always shows the progress.
