Strange issue with my Remote Commander
Aug 4, 2012

I have a SonyRmt-DSLR1 remote. I tested it out indoors with MF engaged to make sure it fires the shutter. All good, it did.

I take it outside to shoot some butterflys ( a 500 using tamron 200-500 with extension tubes same as when I tested it) point it at a butterfly in sunlight and it won't fire. I keep trying minus the butterfly just to see if I could get it to work and I couldn't. I tried moving the remote in front of the camera, in back, etc. No go. I take it back inside and it fires. What the . Anyone have an explanation or suggestion as to why the remote won't activate the shutter when I need it to. Shouldn't it always fire in MF?
