First Day with Sony 16-50 on NEX 7

I must admit that I bought this lens because it seemed that there were very few alternatives that might do a better job, but I'm very pleased that I did.

The highlights:
1 - Excellent build, reminds me of the Nikon 17-55
2 - Manual focus easier than I was expecting
3 - Handles really well, you carry the lens not the camera
4 - Outstanding sharpness at 20-24mm
5 - Superb wide open in the centre, great portrait lens
6 - Minimal vignetting and CA - much less than I was expecting
7 - No effective AF with the LA-EA1 at all - it just hunts and hunts and...
