SSD and RAID 1?

I just had a hard drive crash and I am putting together a new replacement machine.

I have already ordered all the parts for a 32 GB i7 system with 1TB RAID 1. Then I got to thinking that a small SSD, maybe 128 GB might be good for the OS and apps, and perhaps the Photoshop scratch disc.

Anyone got any thoughts on this?

Mostly Lightroom 4.1, Photoshop CS6, and some minor spreadsheet and word processing.
