RX100 optics heavily corrected

When I compared an uncorrected RAW vs. OOC JPEG I realized the Zeiss lens needs heavy correction. The distortion is heavy and also CA’s need some correction.

I first realized this when I shot RAW with my m4/3 with the 7-14 Panasonic lens.

Really don’t know what’s the reason for this. Are the engineers no longer capable for calculating good lenses with no or low distortion?

Finally the Sony in-camera correction does a good job
