Hi Allen
The D800 would have been a natural upgrade for me from the D3/D700 but then I would have to upgrade several of my lenses (serious $$$) and would still be lugging around heavy equipment.
This way I saved a lot of money and weight;-) But of course I wouldn't mind having the D800 around (who wouldn't!?)
