G1X noise

I have been following this forum for a while, and yesterday received my new G1X. After seeing all the great pictures on here and getting excellent advise from Marco Nero, I decided to sell my Sony NEX C3 and buy the Canon. After a few test shots, and then altering some settings, I've got to say the Canon produces better detailed, nicer pictures. That's just my opinion of course. I would just like to ask, in the high iso noise reduction option, what have people found is the best setting? Standard, high or low? I have searched the forum but not really found what people prefer. Thank you in advance for any answers.
