Lens are NOT electronics

Lens are NOT electronics, which follows Moore's law to double the functionality every 12-24 months. Lens are primarily optics, whose cost rises with inflation and fluctuates with international exchange rate. Having another glass supplier does not matter much.

Price of new lens usually drop after 3-6 months when the initial rush of demands are met. From then on, the price rises slowly with inflation.
