Would you use it for weddings? If yes, any samples and shooting hints?
Surely not. For weddings I use 2 D3s bodies with ether 2.8 zooms (sometimes I mount 16-35VR on one D3s to compliment 70-200VRII on another body) or 1.4 primes (24G and 85G)... If I will be pressed to shoot a wedding with only 1 lens - it will be my trusted 5 years old 24-70... Noting wrong with 28-300VR... I know a local photographer who shoots weddings with it, but for me personally - I use my best lenses when it's a paid job no matter if its painfully heavy and bulky...
However - for travel, vacation and family - 28-300VR is hard to beat.
