60D : Need help on taking 'Group' photos

Hello All,

I'm a 60D user and need your help in understanding how to take group photos with everyone in focus....

How does metering effect this? What metering mode should I be in?

What should be my focus point? Should it be the center point or all 9 AF Points?

Which mode is best - AF or MF?

Any other info would help me understand this better....
