A viewfinder is not necessarily of an optical nature

The viewfinder has no problem if the user knows about it and bought the camera anyway.

Or maybe even better.

The LX7 viewfinder only shows 0% of the scene (vs. 85%).
The LX7 viewfinder is not corrected for parallax.

The LX7 viewfinder has no focus point confirmation and not even a rough frame for orientation (which the X10 VF has).
The LX7 viewfinder has no exposure information.
The LX7 viewfinder has no camera settings information.

So obviously both the X10 and LX7 are no cameras for you. Now let those people interested in both cameras have their discussion.

Well, they say there is "A High-performance LVF That Also Displays LCD Data

"An optional 1,440,000-dot equivalent Live View Finder (LVF) DMW-LVF2 featuring a magnification of approximately 0.7x and 100% field of view. Because it displays the same information as the LCD, it is effectively used in situations where the LCD is difficult to see, such as under bright sunlight. The LVF is also handy for low-angle shots because it can be tilted vertically from 0 to 90 degrees."

Yes, it is probably expensive, seemingly clumsy, certainly an added battery drain, and imposes a time lag that may be barely noticeable or outrageously evident. But it is tiltable, littered with information, features a respectable resolution and... is a viewfinder.
