If you really want to see the problem, draw some crossed lines on a piece of white paper and photograph it from about 20ft away. (Not sure if your talking about the 14-42x or 45-175x here. This is what i did for the 45-175x). The thin lines make it easier to see the double image than a normal subject.

what exactly am I looking for? I took 3 different subjects and at 100% they all look similar ... does that mean that I have a "good" copy?

and while I'm at it, how do I post a 100% crop top post my results?
