If I switch from Canon to Nikon...

I plan on upgrading from my Canon 550D. I was looking at the Canon 7D, but I just might make the switch to Nikon since I haven't invested any serious money into lenses yet. Can somebody tell me which Nikon camera body compares best with the 7D, in both price and features?
