No, it doesn't lock up.

The Af has become very inconsistent and doesn't like to lock on to a moving subject.

I'd just had my 300mm f2.8 lens serviced, so thought it was that. But the lens works fine on the D800. Tried 70-200 on the D4 and same issues, so it's the camera.

First frame is (often) relatively sharp, then subsequent frames aren't. It used to be incredible, now it's not.

I think it's just developed a fault so I'll get NPS to check tomorrow at the Olympics site.

I feel it'll just need a repair. Under warranty, hopefully!

Got my new D4 today from Calumet. £500 more than the first one (as I'd pre ordered it), and no free card reader and card. So it's £695 more expensive than the first one.

No time to test it in anger. First frame it takes will be at the Olympics.
