EM-5 Hot/Stuck Pixel Problem
|
I recently purchased an EM-5 and have had it for a few days. The first day I noticed a red pixel(s) that appeared right above the exposure compensation number in both the EVF and LCD screen (so it really bugs me since it is always in my line of sight when I check settings). It also shows up in images. At first, it seemed to come and go, but now it seems to be there all the time. I posted a few samples showing the red spot below.
Is this something that pixel mapping would fix, or would that just hide long-term problems with the sensor? I can still return/exchange it, but I am not sure if the store has any left in stock :(. Other than this pixel problem, I really like the camera.
Any diagnosis, explanation, advice, thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ron
