He gave you good advice. The last time i tried to clean a sensor with a sensor pad & chemical (?) kit was back with my Nikon D70s. It took me forever to get rid of the staining and spots after my cleaning experience. Ever since then I have used only an Arctic Butterfly to get any residual dust off the sensor. I have never had a spot that I couldn't get off with it. If it ever happens I will NOT try to clean it myself. I will pay a competent technician to do it.
