SkyDrive for Photo Sharing

Anyone using MS SkyDrive to share large photos/videos ?

I've installed SkyDrive and placed a video in its Public Folder so that folks I select can access it. I was under the impression that these folks do not need to install SkyDrive, be part of any "group", or even have a MS account.

How do the folks I designate access my file? I suppose I could send then an e-mail invitation -- but then what do they do ???

Pls help. I'm sure I have assumed something that is not correct. Thanks.
