Olympus top line lenses and cameras are absolutely bulletproof. I have heard of one being dropped in Sydney Harbour, and keeping going, thrown into a river by an Orang-Utan, and keeping going, Mine has been SOAKED so often I cannot count, and Mine has also been WASHED under a running tap to get fine wind blown sand out! I was out in a monumental downpour this weekend, and out came the E-1...
It's the same camera as in this shot. It still works absolutely perfectly.
So, yes, E-1/E-3/E-5 are pretty good. I'm currently gathering courage to test my 'new' D700 Nikon, as I'm worried it might not live up to the Oly.
