Bob I could not agree with you more. I just posted the following in another thread regarding the eye-cup silliness with the new FZ200

"I just wish that everybody who has posted in this thread, or has jumped in somewhere along the line and read portions of this thread, would just stop and think for a moment. How pathetic it is that this kind of a conversation ever occurs.

If I were one of the higher-ups within Panasonic I would be embarrassed that a thread like this would even get started. But I would try to take something away from it.

And it is this. It should prove to be quite a marketing lesson, as this thread says volumes about there loyal customer base.

How loyal the Panasonic bridge camera customer has to be to engage in this kind of convoluted engineering just so they can comfortably use their Panasonic product. You would think that the Panasonic executives would be burning up the e-mail wire with instructions to correct this abysmal mistake of not incorporating a proper eye-cup for their Premier bridge camera product.

It is after all their Flagship camera in this product category."

Here is the thread in question. http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/readflat.asp?forum=1033&thread=42092094&page=3
