Canon G1X VS Sony RX100 - DC resource gallery.

I came across the gallery of Canon G1X and Sony RX100.

To my surprise a RX 100 picture does look much better than the G1X.

The picture I am talking about is the inside church picture.

The rx100 pic does look much better.
This is surprising given the fact canon sensor is much larger.
Any comments ?
