Is autofocus faster in liveveiw on the 650D than 600d

I have been very disappointed in my 600d for liveview quick autofocus for street photography. Does anybody know if it has been improved with the 650D. I am not talking about continuous shooting just that green square focussing really quickly which it doesn't on my 600d? Much appreciated if I get an answer to this as I can't find it be searches.
