70-300 Lens not recognized on new V1

Thanks so much for your help, I followed all your steps and now it all works perfect!! They had not mentioned anything about checking for or doing a firmware upgrade when I bought the camera and adaptor at the store, so this morning I thought it just wasn't going to work with my lens!
