Now the question remains why some have troubles with the auto focus and others do not - ofc your usage differs quite a bit from what dopaul and me seem to be doing (I'm not using face detect at all f.e.), so it could be related to that. Either way, the way the autofocus is working for me still leaves some room for improvement which hopefully a firmware update can fix - else it could be a faulty unit which would be quite annoying.
