Lenses, Depth of Field, and Perspective

Thanks for the explanations! I'd forgotten that the changing relative sizes when using different focal lengths was caused by moving the camera, even though that's precisely what I'd talked about just a couple paragraphs up. It's hard to wrap my mind around all these variables and factors! I'm sure I'll get used to it with practice though
