Sony Should Send A Large Check To Sigma

Gotta disagree here, Larry.

If it were 1.4 it would probably, like most fast lenses, need stopping down a couple to get good performance...like, to 2.8
The Sigma is very good wide open at... 2.8.

One thing for sure...if it was 1.4 it would be big, heavy and cost a lot more than $200.
