came to Australia in the 60's as a young fella, as a part of the migration wave from the south of England. He was regaling me with stories of his time in the army in North Africa and his many marriages and his love of women.
I just loved the life within the man. He certainly didn't let his 70 plus years stop him from living life fully - a day at a time as he put it. We could all learn a few things from Gerry that's for sure.
He obliged me with an impromptu photograph and had the sense to ask for a copy.
Anyway, allow me to introduce Gerry, whom I have now known for all of 24 hours ..... less in fact.
