To create a panaroma of movement

I have seen few photographs, wherein about 5 - 6 photos are either stacked one on top of the other or one after the other indicating movement, eg. a bird taking off from a stationary position or a person hitting a ball with the photos capturing the moves from the bat being extended behind the person and then moving through and hitting the ball.

I want to put together about 5- 6 such photos one after the other in a panoramic format, i.e. horizontally.
