I really see only two reasons why at this point someone would choose the EOS-M:

  • you fall into the relatively niche group of people for whom an M43-sized sensor is not quite good enough but a slightly larger APS-sized sensor is (although that doesn't rule out Sony or Samsung), or

I'm going to take issue with this adjective. An APS-C sensor has 40% more surface area than an m43 sensor, meaning 40% more surface area for light. As they say it's a little short of 1 stop of difference in light sensitivity and DoF control ability.

And aside from the Sony-sourced sensor for the $1.1K OM-D, m43 sensors have generally suffered from poor DR (a little over 2 EVs of difference between the 16mp DMC-GX1 and NEX-5N).

"Slightly" is then quite the slight.

But people this is targeted at.....They arent really going to know much about DR. The people they are "targeting" are people that dont even know what DPReview is!!!
