Another common problem is that people are testing at the wrong distance. With your 50 1.4 be sure to be between 4-5ft. Many are moving the camera closer to fit the AF points on the small chart. What they should be doing is printing more charts to cover the AF points and shooting at the proper distance. Based on your results, I'm guessing you were too close.
And to answer your original question, my repair turnaround was 3 weeks door to door.
