For those "shallow dof portrait" fanatics

Shot at 100mm f/2.8 on "full frame", 100% crop of the eye region. The uncropped image is a typical head-and-shoulders framing.

Do you really think it is desirable like this? I should have stopped down to f/3.5 or maybe even f/4. Like it is it's totally pointless. Yes, I managed to put the focus exactly onto the eyelashes, big deal. But having those sharp and not the eyebrows? There may be uses for razor thin dof. But portraits are IMHO not among them
