Bracketing without refocusing between shots

Funny the range of responses I got from this thread, all the way from 1) It works, 2) People do this all the time, no big deal, 3) What you're describing is way to complicated, 4) It will break your camera (with non AF-S lenses), and 5) You're an idiot.

That's dpreview for ya. Lots of vigorous discussion and different opinions on how to do things. I still think the personal attacks were unnecessary, but again, that's what I get for using dpreview.
