I think I can get used to using a camera without an EVF. After all, Hasselblads and Rolleiflexes made some of the best photographs in history. The screen is supposed to be specially adapted to be viewable in sunlight (hope it's true). I already have a full frame Canon system. I want a light-weight, go-anywhere camera. The EOS M has a great sensor so I can publish or print photographs that have been taken with it. The 22mm lens is an f/2 so should be good for blurring backgrounds. I love 35mm lenses (which is the equivalent of the 22mm M). I will mainly use it only with this lens. When I get the urge, with an adapter, I can put a 300mm f/4 on it and shoot birds (480mm equivalent). With a 1.4 tele-extender I can reach 672mm. I won't have to buy a 500 or 600mm lens for my occasional birding photography. It looks like it will be simple to operate and has Manual and Tv modes which are my favorites. I bought a Panny G3 and hated the menus and the evf so I winded up giving it away. I think the EOS M will be more to my liking and the layout should be familiar because I am a longtime Canon user. I think it will be cool to touch a spot on the screen for specific focusing. So, for me, there is nothing here not to like. I am getting an impulse to buy!!! The only problem is the rumor that focusing will be slow. So far, there have been mixed reports on that. I'll keep my fingers crossed and if the actual final product doesn't have terrible focusing, I will take the plunge. My 2 sense! Thanks, Alex.
