Yes... I have already be told this photo is garbage
Maybe I have cell phone images and facebook to thank for why she choose it.

Hi Penguin and everyone

I believe there's another factor that was not previously discussed.

(it it was, my bad, I missed it)

Besides everything you guys said, there's another thing: what happened to the quality threshold ?

I mean, how would hobbyists steal business from pros, if the clients always demanded "I want to see a quality product. Please, show me now you're portfolio, I want to see it".

If clients always demanded a solid, quality driven (at least in a reasonable price/quality ratio) portfolio, hobbyists wouldn't stand a chance.

And if they ever get hired, it would be a very short adventure, being "unmasked" very quickly after the first few assignments.

But the reality is much harsher: I've seen business being made that you wouldn't believe how anyone pays for that.

How can any customer be so blind, and accept to pay for such a low quality product?

But unfortunately, it happens. Customers are careless.

They know very little about photography, about light, about quality.

And they simply don't care to check your portfolio, and other's, carefully.

It appears, we live in a sad, shrinking ship.
