Not sure why you've picked the NEX...

...but my OM-D beats it in every measure including high ISO - this is exactly why I picked it over the NEX after months of vacillation...

What's the most common request or recommendation for a mirrorless camera? It's for someone who wants the low light performance of a dslr, but without the bulk of a dslr - because they want to be able to carry it in a purse, jacket pocket, etc.

(Well technically it's probably for the same thing in jeans pocketable size, but that's not available at all with dslr-level performance).

The problem with the NEX is - and has been since the release of the camera - the unavailability of a compact low light prime lens that did f2.0 or better (to get basically the same performance you'd get from a crop dslr).

The EOS-M pulls this off -

Whereas the NEX has never managed to do it. For a long time, f2.8 was the best available for a native NEX lens. Finally this year they came out with better aperture lenses - but they make the camera 2-3 times deeper than Canon's EOS-M.

The $300 Sony f1.8 50mm - (from photorumors.com) -

The $1,150 Zeiss 24mm f1.8 lens - (from http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/44125/sony-nex-7-kit-lens-february-carl-zeiss )

The NEX doesn't even compete in this category - it's just to darn big. Even if it was less expensive (which it isn't with the lens cost), or it's autofocus is faster, or whatever - it's just to big with an f2.0 or better lens on it.

(Now you cannot say I don't have a single pic! :P)
