16 mm pancake lens - worth £80 or not?

Hi,

What are peoples impressions of the pancake lens for the NEX?

I ask because there effectively it adds £80 more onto the price of a NEX 5N from Jessops (£400 with one lens to £480 with 2 including the pancake). In reviews it gets panned but wondering what people in real life think of it.

I am far from an expert photographer so wondering if I will even notice any flaws with it.

The alternative is to save the money and start saving up for a either the Sony 50mm prime, one of the Sigmas or maybe even the EVF (though on principle I think that might have to wait till Sony drop the price a little - I hate feeling ripped off!).

I shoot largely family shots, with some scenery stuff too.
