Clarification about the left focus issue in D800/E

I have a D800 and have not noticed any issues with the left focus, but I haven't did any structured tests. I've used the center focus point and the left side seems as sharp as the center. So If I understand the problem correctly, it only manifests when the far left focus point is used?
