The "F" word...lol

I have a 50-500 Sigma lens on my D7000 and every once and a while it gives me the "f" signal in the monitor. If I twist the camera at the bayonet or disconnect the lens and then reconnect, it works ok again. It is annoying when this happens as I am ready to get a shot of. Is my CPU connection dirty and what is recommended to clean them with?
