"I love your albums. Can I get half off?"

Ten years ago, I quoted a price and that was what was paid. Any discounts came with "bundling" more products and services at the time of booking.

Today, they buy the cheapest wedding package I offer, get absolutely no add-ons (this is the first year ever where I've had no overtime booked for longer weddings), forgo getting an album up front, but call up later and ask for the cheapest album half off. When I say no, they say no. When I offer incentives, they don't want them. Just the cheapest PLUS a discount. Sorry, can't do it. To me, discounts are rewards to customers who spend well, not to those who don't want to spend at all.

I'm getting the bookings this season, but it's all cheaps-ville.
