So, does the RX100 live up to all the hype?

Okay, I think I understand now. You said not 'much' advantage re being at least as good at 1600 vs the other at 3200...

Ironically, the one reason I didn't get the L5 was that I saw more noise reduction in the tests onliine with the L5 than I liked. In every other way it has all kinds of advantages over other cameras in its class.

I've had the same concerns with the RX100 but found that I can set the NR lower, which I do.
