Now that I've decided to upgrade...
Jul 24, 2012

I was looking at upgrading from my D7000 to either the D800 or Canon 5d ii and have since decided to stay Nikon based off several peoples opinions. One such person asked why not upgrade to the D700 instead of the D800...I didn't have a good answer. I've read some reviews and comparisons between the 2 since, and I still don't have a good reason to skip the D700 and get the D800. I don't use my camera for video, the D700 has a faster fps (which would be handy for some of the sports photography I do), do I really need 36mp? I'm a portrait photographer that mostly deals with High School Seniors with the occasional family and maternity session. I currently have enough to get the D800...and I'm leaning that way cause I don't want wish I had down the road. Never having shot either, I'm not sure if the extra $$ on the D800 would be that much more worth it.
