Well....I realize that like a lot of things this sort of HDR is a matter of personal preference.....but these pics are so overcooked that they just look awful. You can defend it as your personal taste....but there is what is considered by most to be 'generally aesthetically pleasing', which these are not.

This sort of overcooked extreme HDR was first popular over 5 years ago and at the time was a bit of a novelty as we hadn't seen the ability to exploit both shadows and highlights at the same time to such an extent. Back then it still looked bad, but was at least of moderate interest. Now, it's 2012, it's been done a zillion times and it still looks bad....sorry.
